Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has stressed the need for taking the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to its logical end.
The propose of the movement be achieved at all costs for the sake of democracy, Saad said insisting that the movement should be made active so that the basic rights of people could be protected.
It should be served as a platform to ensure the supremacy of the constitution and raise voice for the people deprived of their rights, the former railways minister said adding that seat adjustments should be made to prevent the Balochistan from stealing its mandate and sanctity of vote.
He claimed many PPP leaders have been away from mainstream politics and by a seat adjustment, they could be brought back to the parliament and their expertise could be utilised for a durable democracy.
The PML-N should have its due share in Karachi politics and for the purpose, space should be created, he said insisting upon long-term feats of the movement for national cohesion and fortifying the democracy.
Such steps could help build confidence among the members of parties taking part in the PDM, he said and stressed the need for deliberating upon such points.
