Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met a high-profile delegation of parliamentarians from the United Kingdom, Norway, Austria, along with leading global technology and investment executives, to discuss broad-based cooperation under the Dialogue Pakistan initiative.
During the wide-ranging meeting, Bilawal emphasized that Pakistan remains a reliable partner for the international community and expressed the country's readiness to deepen engagement with global stakeholders. “We are eager to work with our global partners,” he said, stressing Pakistan’s interest in collaboration across infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology, and IT.
Bilawal urged international investors to recognize the creativity of Pakistan’s youth, the country’s expanding startup culture, and its rapidly emerging potential in the tech ecosystem. He highlighted the critical importance of cooperation in digital security, a sector becoming increasingly central to global economic resilience.
The discussions also touched on modern media, online safety, and strategies to counter hybrid warfare and disinformation, with the delegation receiving briefings on strengthening Pakistan’s media and digital ecosystem.
Beyond technology, the meeting included exchanges on education, healthcare, women’s economic empowerment, and social inclusion. Regional issues—such as peace, economic corridors, transit trade, and Pakistan’s strategic geographical role—were also covered in depth.
Bilawal welcomed the delegation’s proposals on expanding ties with Afghanistan, Central Asia, and Gulf markets, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity. Both sides explored possibilities for long-term foreign direct investment, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships.
Members of the international delegation acknowledged the progress Pakistan has achieved due to positive military, diplomatic, and economic developments in the region.
The meeting brought together an extensive lineup of influential global figures, including former Pakistani Ambassador to the U.S. and Zero Board Member Ali J. Siddiqui, Bank Islami Deputy CEO Imran H. Sheikh, JS Bank executive Naina Sheikh and UK House of Lords member Simon Stevens.
