Pakistani students aiming for advanced studies in the United States have received a major boost as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a fully funded PhD scholarship program under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor.
According to HEC, the initiative will provide scholarships for admission to the top 100 universities in the United States, enabling Pakistani scholars to pursue doctoral studies at leading global institutions.
Students admitted to universities ranked in the top 50 will receive full coverage of their tuition fees, along with a monthly stipend and health insurance. For universities ranked between 51 and 100, the program offers annual tuition support of up to $12,000 in addition to the stipend and medical coverage.
HEC officials said the scholarship scheme aims to widen research opportunities for Pakistani scholars by placing them in world-ranked US universities, where they will have access to advanced labs, cutting-edge research facilities and international academic networks.
The deadline to submit applications for the program is April 30, 2026.
