Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has left for the United States on a five-day visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He will address the 78th session of UN General Assembly in New York.
The Interim Prime Minister will also hold meetings with the world leaders on the sidelines of the session.
Apart from the UNGA meeting, he will also participate in an important conference on climate change.
During his visit, PM Kakar will meet the representatives of the international media. He will also visit the prominent think tanks of the United States.

A dedicated aircraft was arranged for the interim PM’s journey to the US, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech at the United Nations General Assembly session on September 22, which falls on a Friday.
While talking to Voice of America (VoA) Urdu yesterday, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said he sees no possibility of a delay in general elections due to the security situation at Pakistan’s borders.
“I see no such possibility at present. Although there is an alarming situation on our western and eastern frontiers in which the security threat and the required response mechanism are being enhanced, we are sure that we will control the situation and complete the electoral process at the same time,” he said.
The caretaker prime minister maintained that Pakistan is playing its part for durable peace in Afghanistan and the region.
He said we are addressing Afghan transit issues including the illegal trade. He said trade ties are improving not only with Afghanistan but also with all the Central Asian Republics as they all realized the significance of regional trade connectivity.
To a question regarding terrorist attacks from Afghan soil, he said Pakistan reserves the right to defend against any terrorist activity and would take necessary steps to defend its people and land whenever needed.
The prime minister said Pakistan enjoys strong relations with the Arab, Gulf, and other regional countries.
He expressed optimism that the relationship with the West would grow further in the coming years.
