Polish Ambassador Maciej Pisarski met with Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan, particularly in the oil and gas sector, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Ambassador Pisarski announced that over $100 million worth of Polish investment is expected in Pakistan’s oil and gas industry. He further expressed Poland’s interest in exploring new areas of partnership to expand bilateral cooperation.
The envoy underlined that Poland also plans to dispatch a high-level political delegation to Pakistan in the coming months. This decision, he added, follows Poland’s ongoing efforts in providing relief supplies to flood-affected communities in Pakistan, reflecting continuity in humanitarian and economic engagement.
The discussions highlighted the role of Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which has created a favourable environment for foreign investment. Both sides agreed that enhanced collaboration under the SIFC framework could significantly boost trade and economic relations between Poland and Pakistan.
Ambassador Pisarski emphasised that Warsaw views Pakistan as a crucial partner in the region and is committed to building long-term cooperation based on mutual benefit.
