Sialkot police have registered a case against two WAPDA employees who lost their lives due to electrocution while on duty, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The FIR, lodged at Kotli Loharan Police Station under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code, holds the deceased employees themselves responsible for negligence, alleging that they failed to adopt necessary safety measures.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred yesterday when two GEPCO employees and two others were electrocuted while carrying out maintenance work.
Despite their deaths, police filed the case against the deceased, citing safety violations as the cause.
Officials confirmed that investigations have been initiated and further legal action is under consideration.
