The government has increased the price of high-speed diesel by Rs3.47 per litre while reducing the price of petrol by 43 paisas per litre, with the revised rates taking effect from September 18, 2026.
According to an official statement, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs3.47 per litre, taking its new price to Rs424.92 per litre.
The price of petrol, meanwhile, has been reduced by Rs0.43 per litre to Rs390.79 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the announced prices were linked to prevailing petrol and diesel prices in the international market.
It said the latest adjustment reflected changes in the global market as well as Platts rates, premiums and other relevant costs incorporated into the petroleum pricing mechanism.
The revised prices will take effect from September 18, 2026.
