An urgent motion criticising Israel’s atrocities and annexation plans in the occupied West Bank was presented in the UK Parliament, gaining support from 75 members of parliament, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to media reports, the motion was tabled by MP Richard Burgon and calls for action against Israel’s reported annexation plans in the West Bank, as well as the imposition of sanctions.

Lawmakers backing the motion urged the United Kingdom to align its policy with international law and take a clearer stance on developments in the region.

The text of the motion alleged that Israel is seeking to formalise control over Palestinian land and expand its authority in the occupied territories.

It further called for restrictions on economic activities linked to Israeli settlements, including asset freezes and travel bans on individuals and entities supporting settlement expansion and occupation policies.

Israel has repeatedly defended its massacre in the West Bank, while the issue remains a central point of international diplomatic dispute.
