Pakistani ship, Khairpur, carrying 80 million liters of crude oil from Kuwait to Karachi, got stuck in the Strait of Hormuz following the closure of the strait by Iran on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that the ship was due to cross the strait today in the morning, but it got stuck due to the presence of a large number of ships, forcing it to return to the Persian Gulf.
Apart from Khairpur, three Indian naval ships also got stuck in the sea.
Sources informed that three French naval ships tried to cross the strait in haste.
However, firing by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards forced the ships to retreat and return to the Persian Gulf.
Violating the ceasefire, Israel launched attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon yesterday, prompting Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz again.
Earlier, prior to the announcement made by Iran that it would open the strait, Pakistani ship, Shalimar, was allowed to cross the route.
This happened despite the fact that the US sanctions were in place.
