Shabbir Ali Qureshi, former MNA of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Kot Addu, has challenged the government's decision to place his name on the Provincial National Identification List (PNIL).
Qureshi has challenged the government's decision in the Multan Bench of the Lahore High Court, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. The restriction prevented Qureshi from travelling abroad.
On Tuesday, the court heard a petition filed by Qureshi against the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in this case.
In his petition, Qureshi contended that his name was placed on the PNIL without issuing him any notice or providing any legal justification.
He requested the court to order the removal of his name from the PNIL and allow him to travel abroad.
The court sought a response from the relevant authorities and adjourned the proceedings until August 26.
