A newlywed woman was killed while her husband and his friend were seriously injured after unidentified armed men opened fire on them near Sassi Toll Plaza in Thatta, reported 24NewsHD Channel.
According to details, the couple identified as Fatima and Junaid Ansari, had reportedly married by choice at a court in Karachi.
The incident took place in the Dhabeji area, where armed men allegedly targeted the couple. As a result of the firing, Fatima was killed on the spot, while Junaid Ansari and his companion Umair sustained serious bullet wounds.
The injured were shifted to a hospital in Karachi in critical condition for medical treatment.
