The political commission of the Afghan Taliban will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Friday (December 18).
According to sources at Prime Minister’s House, the Afghan peace process will come under discussion during talks between the two sides. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other senior Pakistani officials will also attend the meeting.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan will highlight Pakistan’s support and role in the Afghan peace process.
The political commission of the Afghan Taliban is currently on a Pakistan visit. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a telephonic meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and discussed the inter-Afghan peace dialogue.
