Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the fares of intercity transport would be reduced following a big cut in diesel prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CM directed all the deputy commissioners to ensure cut in fares before the deadline that is ending tonight.
The CM said that the benefit of reduction in petroleum prices should be transferred directly to the people of the province, adding that the government is trying its best to provide maximum relief to the public.
Mr Naqvi ordered the officials to take action against those transporters who fail to ensure cut in fares by tonight.
