The Lahore High Court has ordered the release of PTI leader and lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Justice Shahram Sarwar of Lahore High Court heard the case regarding the detention of Sher Afzal Marwat.
PTI lawyer Marwat was arrested by the police under 3 MPO a few days ago.
Earlier, the government had submitted a reply to the petition against the detention of Marwat in the Lahore High Court.
The reply was submitted by Mohsin Abbas Advocate on behalf of the government, in which it was stated that the petitioner should approach the relevant forum against the detention.
In the government's response, it was said that the notification of the detention of Marwat was issued by the Deputy Commissioner and the PTI leader should first apply to the government against his detention.
In its response, the government requested the court to reject the petition filed against Marwat’s detention.
