Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday announced the completion of another major infrastructure project in Islamabad with the construction of the T-Chowk flyover, calling it a gift for the residents of the federal capital.
The interior minister visited the newly completed flyover and reviewed the project before speaking to the media. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would formally inaugurate the Iqbal Flyover.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, the T-Chowk flyover was completed in a record time of 77 days. The flyover is one kilometer long and consists of three traffic lanes, aimed at easing congestion and improving traffic flow in the busy area.
He added that the project also includes extensive beautification work, with landscaping carried out along a three-kilometer stretch. More than 5,000 plants have been planted around the flyover to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal and contribute to a greener environment.
The minister praised the teams involved in completing the project ahead of schedule and said such development initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and providing relief to citizens in Islamabad.
