The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has clarified that it has no connection with the admission process for MBBS and BDS programmes in medical and dental colleges across the country.
In an admission alert, the council stated that the complete responsibility for admissions of both local and foreign students in all government and private medical and dental colleges rests with the respective universities.
PMDC said candidates should directly contact the concerned provincial universities for information regarding admission schedules, eligibility criteria and merit lists.
The council also warned students, parents and the general public to remain vigilant against fake individuals and social media pages falsely claiming to represent PMDC. It said any person or group making such claims should be reported immediately through official channels.
For this purpose, PMDC has provided a dedicated complaint link, complaints.pmdc.pk, to report misleading or fraudulent activities. The registrar of PMDC advised applicants not to trust any unverified or misleading information regarding admissions.
PMDC reiterated that it plays no role in the admission process and urged candidates to rely only on official sources for accurate information.
