The US dollar on Friday bulldozed whatever little resistance the Pakistani rupee put up in the early morning business in interbank trading, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Pakistani rupee showed some spine at the start of the business at it went up by 11 paisas against the US dollar.
However, the greenback roared back in the later session and flattened whatever gain the rupee had scored and then shot up by 46 paisas.
According to the forex dealers, the dollar was now being traded at Rs175.85.
Yesterday, the dollar was closed at Rs175.39.
Economic experts believe that the rupee is under pressure over rising import bill and foreign debt repayments.
