The devout Muslims of the country are observing the Holy Shab-e-Meraj with religious dignity and solemnity tonight, reported 24newsHD TV channel.
Like every year, 'Milad' are being held in mosques, holy shrines, and destinations of spiritual leaders across the country for getting the blessings of Allah and His Apostle SAW. As the Shab-e-Meraj night is especially prestigious for devout Muslims, they spend their time at night through prayers.
On the night of the 26th Rajab every year (the seventh month of the Islamic Calendar), Muslims observe Shab-e-Meraj when Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) embarked on a special journey to meet Allah.
Quran says about the night,” Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing (Isra: 1).”
In the journey, the Prophet travelled on the "Buraq" to Heaven where Allah gave him some instructions to take back to the faithful regarding the details of prayers.

Muslim devotees including women and children will spend the whole night offering special prayers at mosques and homes seeking blessings of Allah for the welfare of the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah.
A large number of people will also keep fast tomorrow to homage to the sacred event.
