Wheat prices continued to rise in Punjab as with an increase of 200 rupees, wheat started selling at Rs5,600 per 40 kilograms, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Due to the increase in prices, there is a fear of increase in the prices of locally grinded flour as this flour is available at Rs175 per kg in markets.
On the other hand, shortage of flour bags remains at utility stores.
A bag of 20 kg flour started selling from Rs 2790 to Rs2820 in the open market.
