The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday nullified all verdicts of the trial court and ordered the main accused, Armaghan, to appear before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) today, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The SHC also accepted four petitions requesting Armaghan’s physical remand, directing him to be presented before an ATC judge.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that Armaghan’s residence now looks deserted, with only one chowkidar guarding the property, compared to the 100 security personnel previously deployed. Despite an illegal call centre being run from the first floor, police have not yet sealed the bungalow.
Accused's father statement:
Armaghan’s father, Kamran Qureshi, alleged that police denied his request to file an FIR for dacoity and also did not allow him to meet his son. He further claimed that despite Armaghan being intoxicated at the time of his arrest, no medical examination was conducted.
Kamran Qureshi accused the police of blackmailing his son, cutting off his Wi-Fi and electricity, and spending huge sums on hiring lawyers. He expressed sympathy with Mustafa Amir’s mother but questioned who severed Sheeraz’s hands after he confessed to torching the dead body.
Armaghan denies all allegations
The main accused in the Mustafa murder case, Armaghan, has denied all charges, claiming that he doesn’t know anyone and never committed murder.
During interrogation, Armaghan rejected accusations of shooting at the police, saying that he only fired at robbers who attempted a home invasion.
"I have been falsely implicated in this case," he insisted.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are examining Armaghan’s claims and reviewing evidence to determine the truth behind Mustafa’s murder.
ATC grants 4-day physical remand
Later, Karachi police produced accused Armaghan in ATC Karachi at the Judicial Complex Clifton, where a dramatic scene unfolded as he fainted inside the courtroom.
As proceedings were underway, Armaghan suddenly lost consciousness, prompting police officers to attempt reviving him inside the courtroom.
Despite his condition, the ATC judge granted the police a four-day physical remand of the accused. Still semi-conscious, Armaghan was escorted out of the court with police support.
