The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Qatari officials, in a joint intelligence-based operation conducted at Islamabad airport on Wednesday, foiled the bid to smuggle 4.48 kilos of cocaine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, cocaine was recovered from the woman, who had reached Islamabad from Sharjah via Doha.
The woman had skillfully concealed the narcotic in her bag.
The woman’s handler was also apprehended after she told the interrogators that he was also present at the airport.
The joint operation shows better intelligence sharing between Pakistan and Qatar.
