Federal Information Minister Marryium Aurangzeb has lashed out at the last government for ruining the national economy and damaging diplomatic ties.
Addressing a press conference, she said the coalition government was inherited with a devastated economy and diplomatic ties with the world.
The PTI government violated the agreement with the IMF, she said, adding that the coalition government’s efforts bore fruit and it wooed IMF for a deal to cope with the financial crunch.
The last government brought the country to the brink of destruction and it brought down the prices of petroleum products just to accomplish its anti-state task, the minister maintained.
The PTI government tried its best to bring the country to a situation like Sri Lanka, she said adding that the PTI chairman damaged ties with friendly states.
However, she said the coalition government strived hard to put the country back on track.
