Pakistan security Forces have thwarted a Khwarij infiltration attempt from Afghan border and arrested five alleged would-be suicide-bombers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to security sources, the Khwarij attempted to infiltrate from Afghan border on the evening of July 17.
The security forces, who set up blockades at five different locations, received information about Khwarij movement as soon as they entered Pakistani territory from the Afghan side.
According to security sources, after infiltration, the Khwarij advanced towards Azizkhel and Mandikhel and due to excellent strategy of the security forces, Khawarij surrendered before them.
All the arrested Khwarij are Afghan citizens, three of whom also have Afghan identity cards.
The arrested persons are between 15 and 18 years of age.
According to security sources, all the Khwarij have been shifted to an unknown location for further interrogation.
Security authorities have issued an alert in the border areas and are continuing search operations.
This is not the first time that the Khwarij were infiltrating from the Pak-Afghan border.
Security forces killed 71 Khwarij in a successful operation in North Waziristan from April 25 to 27, 2025.
On July 4, 2025, 30 Khwarij were killed during an attempt by the Indian-backed Khwarij to cross the Pak-Afghan border.
On March 23, 2025, 16 Khawarij were also killed in an attempt to infiltrate through the Afghan border.
From infiltrating from the Pak-Afghan border to spreading terrorism in Pakistan, the Khawarij have full support from India.
