In a disturbing accident which occurred in Saudabad area of Karachi on Friday, a 60-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Baqar, lost his life after being struck by a heavily-loaded cement trailer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police reports indicated that the trailer, loaded with cement bags, was en route from RCD Ground towards Saudabad when it hit the victim’s motorcycle fatally.
The impact of the collision was extremely severe, leaving the motorcycle in a state of complete destruction on the spot.
In the aftermath of the incident, a wave of fury swept through the local residents and onlookers, who, in a dramatic reaction, set the trailer ablaze.
They even physically assaulted the trailer driver, eyewitnesses reported, before authorities arrived at the scene.
The trailer driver, identified as Waris, has been taken into police custody.
“The body of the deceased has been shifted to a hospital for legal procedures,” law officials confirmed.
