Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday chaired a meeting of Pre-Council of Common Interests Committee (Pre-CCI) established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as CCI Chairman.
The meeting held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s office deliberated the agenda for the 53rd CCI meeting in Islamabad.
The committee was told that the prime minister had announced the next meeting of the Council of Common Interests in August.
During the meeting, Dar reaffirmed the government's commitment to further strengthening Pakistan's cooperative federal system and promoting effective coordination between the federation and provinces to take advance decisions in the national interest.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Planning and Inter-Provincial Coordination, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Division, the Council of Common Interests, Planning, Petroleum, Water Resources, Electricity, Health, Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development and other relevant officials.
