Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has taken action against 8 sugar mills across Punjab over tax fraud, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
According to detail, FBR has sealed several godowns, sugar stocks and also sealed some sugar mills.
Over tax evasion, FBR has taken action against Skrand Sugar Mills, Chambar Sugar Mills and Degree Sugar Mills, Joharabad Sugar Mills, Tandlianwala Sugar Mills, Al-Moeez Sugar Mills and Tariq Corporation and Jaranwala Sugar Mills. FBR has seized 1200 bags of sugar from Skrand Sugar Mills, 150 metric tons of sugar was seized from Chambar Sugar Mills besides 5 vehicles were also taken in custody.
The Degree Sugar Mills was sealed while Joharabad Sugar Mills warehouse was sealed and Tandlianwala Sugar Mills weighbridge area sealed.
