Pakistani religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi has weighed in on the discussion surrounding actress Momina Iqbal, expressing support for her decision to marry Hamza Habib and praising what he described as the right step forward.
Speaking about the matter, Mufti Abdul Qavi said he would like to extend his greetings and admiration to Momina Iqbal for choosing marriage and formally entering a new chapter of her life through nikah. He remarked that she had made the right decision and said he salutes her for taking that step.
According to Mufti Abdul Qavi, Momina's decision to move forward through marriage deserves appreciation. He maintained that formalizing a relationship through nikah is the proper course of action and said she should be respected for making that choice.
The religious scholar also commented on Saqib Chadhar during the discussion. Referring to reports that he already has two wives, Mufti Abdul Qavi questioned why he would become involved in a situation that could lead to controversy.
He suggested that if there was genuine interest in a relationship, it should have been formalized through nikah rather than remaining without commitment.
Mufti Abdul Qavi further stated that a person should either remain content with their existing marital commitments or take responsibility through a proper nikah if they intend to pursue another relationship.
His remarks quickly became a topic of discussion online, with social media users reacting to both his support for Momina Iqbal and his criticism of Saqib Chadhar.
