The German embassy in Islamabad has announced the closure of its visa sections in Islamabad and Karachi for a month amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a statement, the visa sections at the Islamabad embassy and the Karachi consulate will be closed from tomorrow (Thursday, March 19) till April 19.
It said the move was a result of the German government’s decision to ban the entry of non-EU citizens into the country for a month. However, the visa applications would be processed in case of emergency, it added.
The applicants, who had appointments, would be informed about the new dates later, the statement said.
