The Punjab government has appointed 12,000 new school internee teachers (SIT) across the province while 188 lecturers, assistant professors, associate professors and professors were regularized in Punjab University Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
All the newly-appointed internee school teachers submitted their joining reports to relevant school’s heads from today.
An education expert, Asif Gohar said that appointment of new internee teachers will play vital role for fulling vacant posts of teachers in the province.
He paid tributes to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for granting approval to appoint new internee teachers in different schools in the province.
During this period, a primarcy school internee teacher will get Rs38,000 salary per month, while Rs40,000 will be paid to internee teacher of middle school.
Teachers of higher and higher secondary school will be eligible to get Rs45,000 salary per month.
188 regularized
As many as 188 lecturers, assistant professors, associate professors and professors who were appointed in years 2020, 2021 and 2022 on temporary basis were regularized on Tuesday.
A meeting of confirmation committee was held on the directives from Vice-Chancellor of the Punjab University Dr. Mohammad Ali.
During the meeting, the participants after examining annual confidential reports (ACRs) of all these teachers recommended their names for regularization.
All these lecturers, assistant professors and professors were waiting for their confirmation from last three to four years.
