Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has said it is considering postponing its overseas SSC examinations scheduled to begin on March 31, citing uncertainty arising from the Gulf War, 24NewsHD TV reported.

In an advisory issued on Wednesday, the federal board said the SSC annual examinations for overseas centres in 2026 remain scheduled to commence on March 31, but warned that the timetable could be revised if the security environment deteriorates or remains unstable.

The board said the possibility of deferring the overseas examinations was under active review in light of war-related uncertainty in the region, adding that the safety of students and their families remained a key consideration in any final decision.

“If the security situation persists, overseas examinations may be postponed,” the board said, according to the advisory.

The board added that consultations were underway to develop alternative examination arrangements after taking into account concerns raised by students and parents.
