An assistant sub-inspector of police has been arrested for alleged misuse of authority in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the police, ASI Shahid Khan has been taken into custody by Sangjani Police Station and several cases have been registered against him.
According to text of the complaint, the accused allegedly tried to kidnap a victim’s family and harassed them.
The accused ASI has registered a fake case.
ASI Shahid Khan stopped applicant on the road and threatened her with death at gunpoint.
Other people gathered after ASI stopped the applicant and hurled threats.
ASI Shahid Khan, while fleeing with his other colleagues due to the noise, picked up applicant’s bag and fled.
The bag also contained Rs75,000 and gold rings.
Sangjani police station arrested ASI Shahid Khan and started an investigation.
