A woman in Jhang survived an attempted suicide after consuming poisonous pills, following a rapid intervention by Safe City surveillance authorities, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
According to officials, the incident occurred on a busy street in Jhang when the woman suddenly collapsed.
Live monitoring by Safe City virtual patrolling officers detected her fall and triggered an immediate emergency alert.
The Smart Safe City Jhang control room dispatched police and rescue teams to the scene, where a combined team of lady police officers and paramedics provided initial medical treatment before transferring her to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary reports indicated the woman ingested the poison deliberately with the intention of ending her life.
