Pakistan's famous former cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi visits Leepa Valley along the Line of Control to meet the victims of Indian aggression, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Talking to the resident of the area in Hattian Bala, Afridi said the people of Kashmir are symbol of love, affection and peace, they stood with the Pakistan Army during the Indian aggression. The star cricketer said he reached Leepa sector to thank the Kashmiri people on behalf of the Pakistani nation.
Afridi also lauded positive role of the media during the Indian aggression by terming it commendable. He said Pakistan's forces always seek peace and they take action in defense of the homeland. The star cricketer said Kashmir's talent is a source of pride, unfortunately it is being wasted. He urged the government to focus on it.
He demanded of Azad Kashmir government to establish a cricket academy to save the talent. Afridi said where there is injustice against humanity, that is terrorism. Humanity is the greatest religion. Shahid Afridi lamented that the people of occupied Kashmir were still making sacrifices for the right to self-determination.
“The time is not far when the sun of freedom for Kashmir will rise”, Shahid Afridi said. He demanded of the government that Kashmiri people should be given the right to independence.
The star cricketer demanded of the international community to play its role in ending the oppression in occupied Kashmir.
