Pakistan has expressed dismay over closure of Kartarpur Corridor by Indian side as Corridor is a shining example of interfaith harmony and tolerance, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Expressing solidarity with Sikh brothers and sisters who were eager to visit their sacred religious sites in Pakistan, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in his social media post on X said that freedom of religion is a fundamental human right that cannot be taken away.
Naqvi further said that preventing Sikh pilgrims from visiting Kartarpur is proof of Modi and BJP's fascist agenda. He said with such acts, real face of Modi government has been exposed.
India had suspended the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, which connects Sikh pilgrims to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, after Phalagam attack in Indian Kashmir.
The corridor, inaugurated in 2019, allows Indian Sikhs to visit one of their holiest sites without the need for a visa, providing access to the final resting place of Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion, in Pakistan.
