A Judicial Magistrate at the South Jail Complex has approved a request by the investigating officer to record the plaintiff’s statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in a murder case registered at Baghdadi Police Station against accused Anmol alias Pinki.
Accepting the plea, the court directed the investigating officer to record the plaintiff’s statement on May 21. The court also granted the accused exemption from personal appearance due to security concerns, ordering that the statement be recorded in the presence of the accused’s lawyers.
According to details, the case is being heard at the Judicial Magistrate South/Jail Complex, where the accused is facing trial in the murder case.
In a separate development, a police remand report submitted before the court has revealed further allegations about the accused.
The report, a copy of which has been received by City21, describes Anmol alias Pinki as a highly cunning individual allegedly linked to an inter-provincial drug trafficking gang.
Police informed the court that multiple other cases are also registered against the accused and that there is a strong possibility of further arrests in additional cases.
Citing these grounds, the police have requested the court to grant physical remand of the accused to facilitate further investigation.
