A massive fire broke out in a lunda factory in Karachi but the timely action of the fire-fighters saved the goods from any damage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The factory is located in the jurisdiction of Sukkan Police Station in Landhi Export Processing Zone.
As the fire spread, a Rescue 1122 team immediately vacated the building and shifted the goods to a secure location.
The fire erupted on the ground as well as three floors, which later spread to other floors of the building.
Soon after receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot, and over 15 fire tenders took part in the operation and brought the fire under control.
Incharge Rescue Operation, Usra said that some pickets caught fire, which was also brought under control after the cooling process.
No loss of life was reported from the site so far.
Man dies due to suffocation
A man lost his life due to suffocation when a fire erupted in a stationery godown in Gunjmandi Road in Rawalpindi on Monday.
Soon after the incident, the Rescue 1122 team reached the site and brought the fire under control.
The real cause behind the fire was still unknown.
