Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with President Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Quoting sources 24News TV channel reported that Ishaq Dar met with President Alvi on the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the meeting, the federal finance minister briefed the president on the overall economic and financial outlook of the country. He also briefed the president on various steps taken by the government to provide relief to the people of Pakistan, especially to the unprivileged population of the underserved areas of the country and the flood affectees.
During the meeting, various matters concerning finance and the economy were also discussed.
According to a couple of tweets uploaded by the Presidency, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met with President Dr Arif Alvi at the President's House.
During the meeting, the Federal Finance Minister briefed the President on the overall economic and financial situation of the country.

The Finance Minister also informed the President about the various measures taken by the government to provide relief to the people of Pakistan, especially the underprivileged population of the deprived areas and the flood victims. During the meeting, various issues related to finance and economy were also discussed

It may be mentioned here that Ishaq Dar also held important meetings with leaders of government’s allied parties on Thursday.
The finance minister had called on PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Zardari at the Zardari House in Islamabad. Ishaq Dar conveyed Nawaz Sharif's message to Asif Zardari.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also present in the meeting that took up the ongoing political situation and national issues.
Also, the finance minister met PDM President and JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and conveyed the message of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to the latter.
Ishaq Dar met the Maulana along with a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N and discussed the country’s current economic and political situation and also exchanged thoughts about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s march.
The meeting was held at the residence of Maulana Fazl’s residence in Islamabad. Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Saad Rafique were a part of the delegation.
