A district and sessions court in Islamabad summoned Somia Asim, the wife of a civil judge, for the indictment proceedings in the domestic maid Rizwana torture case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The hearing of the young housekeeper Rizwana torture case was held in the court of civil judge Umar Shabbir on Saturday, accused Somia Asim did not appear in the court, while the lawyer of the accused appeared in the court.
During the hearing, the prosecutor and the investigating officer appeared in the court along with the records and submitted the challan report to the court.
The prosecutor told the court that the challan was provisional and not final but sufficient to initiate a trial and indictment. Then he submitted the challan report to the court.
Later, the courts summoned the accused to distribute the challan copies and adjourned the further hearing of the case till December 9.
