92 bank accounts of banned origination freezed: Azma Bukhari

Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari has said that 92 digital bank accounts of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) have been closed, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

In a press statement, Azma Bukhari said that the extremist organization was spreading chaos under the guise of religion and using the name of religion for vested interests. 

Azma Bukhari said that cases have been registered against 31 people, belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), for making hate speeches, hurling threats and issuing fatwas on social media. 

Information minister said 830 people of the banned religious party have been arrested from Lahore while assets worth 23.4 billion were frozen. 

The Punjab Provincial Information Minister has said that so far 73,000 mosques have been geo-tagged and more than 50,000 imams have registered themselves. They have not faced any kind of coercion from any administration. So far, about 84 percent of the clerics of mosques in Punjab province have registered themselves.

She said Lahore has been declared safer than New York and London in media reports. The crime rate has decreased significantly due to the policies of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
