The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday notified an increase of 1.97% in liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices for November, marking the third consecutive monthly hike.
According to the notification, LNG prices on the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) network have been raised by $0.22 per MMBTU, bringing the new price to $11.45 per MMBTU. On the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system, prices have gone up by $0.17 per MMBTU, setting the new rate at $12.40 per MMBTU.
This latest revision follows a series of steady price increases. OGRA had previously raised LNG prices by 2% for October and by 2.63% for September, citing rising global market trends.
The continued upward adjustments are expected to put further pressure on consumers as winter demand peaks and import costs remain elevated.
