The National Technology Council (NTC) officials on Tuesday said that Pakistan thwarted two major cyberattacks on its institutions last week, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Briefing the National Assembly Committee on Information Technology, the officials said that the National Technology Council is providing services to 3,000 institutions located in 100 cities of Pakistan.
The officials said that the NTC providing cyber security to government departments. They further revealed that cyberattacks on institutions that were being hosted by NTC were foiled.
The NTC officials said that a Cyber Security Authority is being constituted at the government level and 30 hotspots are being established in 30 different locations of Islamabad.
The officials said that free WiFi services will be available in Islamabad from December 2025.
