The Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the booking deadline by five days for the aspiring pilgrims planning to travel for Hajj 2026 under the private scheme, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
Sources revealed that around 4,500 seats are still available in the private Hajj quota.
Earlier, Hajj organizers had been given a deadline of October 17 to complete the booking process, but the ministry has now granted additional time to facilitate more applicants.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed private Hajj operators to complete bookings on time.
An awareness campaign should be launched to complete bookings on time. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also given written instructions to private operators to expedite Hajj bookings.
Last year's 21,654 pilgrims will also be sent for Hajj.
This year, the quota of private operators has been reduced from 90,000 to 60,000.
Private operators are booking against the Hajj quota of 38,346.
The booking for the private Hajj scheme started on September 19.
