Punjab CM Maryam reviews progress on CBD, Ruda, NSIT City

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reviewed progress on Central Business District (CBD) Project, Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and Nawaz Sharif IT (NSIT) City, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

Chairing a special meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stressed the need for early completion of Future Project. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to submit quarterly report on Future Project. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz set a target of completing Ruda Primary Dam on River Ravi before possible floods and two-year target set for completion of Ruda Phase One. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz sought a viable business plan for Ruda.

The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was briefed in the meeting about CBD, Ruda and NSIT City.

The meeting was briefed that Imperial College London’s campus will be built in Nawaz Sharif IT City and the foundation stone of Imperial College London's local campus will be laid in November.

A 300-bed state-of-the-art hospital will also be built in Imperial College campus.

The construction of Ruda embankment will protect Lahore from the floods of the Ravi River.

Chinese and Turkish companies expressed interest in Entertainment City. 

DOF Robotics and U-Band Player expressed interest in Theme Park. 

An 80-seater flying theater will also be built in Entertainment City. 

Various institutions expressed interest in Silicon City, University Block, ASTRA Block and Film City. 

About 78 percent of the construction of the IT tower in Nawaz Sharif IT City has been completed. 

Ravi City will be Pakistan's first completely green city.
