140,071 candidates get registered for MDCAT 2025

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) Thursday announced that registration for the MDCAT 2025 has been completed, with ‎a total of 140,071 candidates set to appear in the nationwide entry test on October 26, 202, reported 24NewsHD TV.‎

The exam date was rescheduled from October 5 to accommodate students from flood-affected areas.‎

According to PMDC, Punjab has registered the highest number of candidates with 50,443, followed by 39,964 from Khyber ‎Pakhtunkhwa, 33,160 from Sindh, and 10,278 from Balochistan.

Additionally, 1,146 students from Islamabad, 3,322 from Azad ‎Kashmir, and 1,564 from Gilgit-Baltistan have registered. The exam will also include 194 candidates in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.‎

PMDC further stated that the MDCAT exam will be conducted by provincial universities, while the syllabus and question bank ‎have been prepared uniformly by PMDC to ensure fairness.

Strict instructions have been issued to universities to prevent any ‎attempt at cheating, paper leaks, or malpractice during the test.‎

Candidates have been advised to only follow official instructions issued by their respective universities and the PMDC. The council ‎also urged students to avoid rumours about the exam process and rely solely on official updates.‎
