Four suspects arrested in connection with the recent attack on journalists outside Adiala Jail were presented before an anti-terrorism court on Thursday following an identity parade, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court handed over three of the accused to police on a three-day physical remand, while a two-day physical remand was approved for another suspect, identified as Ziauddin.
According to sources, the accused include Faisal, Naveed, and Raja Sarfraz, among others. The suspects were taken into custody after journalists covering court proceedings at Adiala Jail were attacked earlier this week, sparking widespread condemnation from journalist bodies and media organisations.
Police officials said investigations are underway and further action will be taken based on evidence gathered during interrogation.
