The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has approved the MBBS and BDS examination calendars for 2025 during a joint meeting of the Boards of Studies in Medicine and Dentistry, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
According to the schedule, MBBS Fourth Professional annual examinations will begin on December 15, 2025, while the Final Professional exams are set for February 9, 2026.
The First Professional exams will commence on February 23, 2026, followed by the Second Professional on January 26 and the Third Professional on February 2, 2026.
For BDS students, the First Professional exams will start on February 24, 2026, the Second Professional on February 10, the Third Professional on March 2, while the Final Professional exams will begin on March 30, 2026.
The meeting also approved a transition policy for students failing in First Year BDS and Third Year MBBS, as well as the establishment of discipline-specific faculty councils. These councils, comprising faculty from UHS-affiliated colleges, will work to enhance academic collaboration, research, and quality assurance in their respective fields.
In a major development, Vice Chancellor Prof. Rathore announced the establishment of an international-standard simulation lab by March next year, which will be available to all medical college students.
Convenors Prof. Zahra Khanum (Medicine) and Prof. Sara Ghafoor (Dentistry), along with principals from government and private medical and dental colleges, also participated in the meeting.
