Pakistani superstar Danish Taimoor has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, joining the viral 1980s trend with a distinctly old-school look straight from the sets of his drama serial ‘Nashtar’.
The actor took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures from the drama’s set, where the entire wedding setup seemingly transported him back several decades.
“Everyone’s been going back to the 80s with AI lately… so I thought, why not actually live a day in the 80s?” Danish wrote in his caption.
He explained that while shooting Nashtar the previous night, everything around him suddenly carried an unmistakable retro charm.
“Last night on the set of Nashtar, everything around me suddenly had that old-school vibe the lights, the colours, the whole shaadi setup. For a moment, it genuinely felt like I had walked into an 80s wedding. So, I thought, let’s just live it for a night,” he shared.
Danish also used the nostalgic moment to pay tribute to legendary Pakistani singer Alamgir, pointing out that he had not seen enough posts featuring the iconic musician as people embraced the 80s trend.
“And while we’re all bringing the 80s back, I realised I haven’t seen enough Alamgir Sahab on these posts. Come on… you can’t talk about the 80s and Pakistani music without him,” he added.
Making it clear that his throwback was not another AI experiment, the actor concluded: “So here’s my little trip back in time, no AI this time, just a night on the sets of Nashtar.”
He also teased viewers that the retro aesthetic will continue to appear in the upcoming episodes, adding, “You’ll see more of this in the upcoming episodes. Stay tuned.”
For the occasion, Danish embraced a striking fusion of traditional Pakistani elegance and Western-inspired tailoring, creating a polished look that perfectly complemented the vintage wedding atmosphere.
He sported a sharp grey, single-breasted blazer with classic notched lapels and a neatly placed pocket square, giving the ensemble a refined and sophisticated finish.
The actor completed the formal look with highly polished black leather Oxford shoes, keeping the overall silhouette sleek and timeless.
What truly cemented the retro transformation, however, was his grooming. Danish traded his usual modern stubble for a prominent, neatly groomed moustache paired with a clean-shaven jawline, instantly evoking the classic masculine style associated with the 1980s.
The throwback appearance quickly caught the attention of his fans and followers, with the comments section filling up with reactions to the actor’s unexpected retro avatar.
