The government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for the period from September 19 to September 21, 2026, under the federal petroleum pricing mechanism.

According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products in line with changes in the international market.

The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs1.65 per litre, bringing it down from Rs390.79 to Rs389.14 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has been cut by 88 paisas per litre, reducing it from Rs424.92 to Rs424.04 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect from September 19 and remain applicable until September 21, 2026.

The Petroleum Division said the adjustments were linked to international petrol and diesel prices.

It said changes in global market conditions, including Platts rates, premiums, incidentals and other related costs, were reflected in the latest revision of domestic petroleum prices.
