The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Talent Hunt Programme for Schools Season 2 will begin tomorrow with an opening match between Aitchison College and Beaconhouse Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium.
The match will start at 2 pm, with entry for spectators free. A musical concert by renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will also be held after the match.
The captains of both teams took part in a trophy photoshoot at Gaddafi Stadium ahead of the opening game. Aitchison College captain Dawood Tauqeer and Beaconhouse captain Ahmed Shahzil were present at the event.
Dawood said playing in the school cricket tournament had benefited him and other young players by providing opportunities to participate in PCB age-group tournaments.
Beaconhouse captain Ahmed Shahzil said schoolchildren from across Pakistan were excited about taking part in the tournament and showcasing their cricketing talent.
