Five people were killed in firing in two different incidents in Baldia Town and Gulshan-e-Muamar near Rambo Tower in Karachi, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, the husband shot and killed his wife and two children in the Baldia Town house.
The accused fled after the incident, and raids are being conducted to arrest him.
The crime scene team is collecting evidence.
The deceased include the accused's wife, 32-year-old Samia, and sons Shahroz and Mehroz, between the ages of 12 and 14 years of age.
Meanwhile, two people were killed and four were injured in firing in Gulshan-e-Muamar.
According to rescue officials, the dead and injured are being shifted to Abbasi Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Jalal, son of Ashraf, while the injured include Noman, 30 years old; Mashrang, 60 years old; Watan Gul, 55 years old; Mehran Gul, 45 years old; and Irshad, 40 years old.
